A great turnout for Moda Makers’ promoters and companies, which has outnumbered May’s edition with an increase in foreign visitors.
The total number of visitors has confirmed the positive trend of the first two days: almost 1000 people have visited Moda Makers’ fourth edition (+10% increase) between the 7th and 9th November 2017.The event, hosting 49 companies, is confirmed as the most prominent appointment of the textile district of Carpi.
Thanks to the combined efforts of the small and medium-sized enterprises of the district together with the trade associations and institutions, more than 9000 A/W 2018/2019 ready-to-wear and knitwear creations, cut and sew knitwear, shirts and coats have been displayed in the setting of Piazzale Re Astolfo.
The number of visitors, which has outdone the previous editions, consisted of 70% of buyers and agents, and 30% of suppliers, journalists and photographers.
By foreign countries, the number of visitors from Japan was the highest, followed by Belgium, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany and Hungary.
The companies involved in the event have expressed their content in liaising with new customers as well as frequent clients, in establishing new commercial relationships and in
having the opportunity of being highly visible within the industry. The high level of foreign buyers has been greatly appreciated by the organisers and the companies’ owners.
Also the students of local high schools have been given the opportunity of experiencing the quality of these products.
Carpi Fashion System has already scheduled an appointment prior to Moda Makers’ summer edition, in which more than 30 companies will participate. The incoming will take place between the 28th and the 29th November at Palazzo dei Pio with B2B meetings.
In the words of Simone Morelli, Carpi’s Economy Assessor”We are pleased because the companies involved in the project have shown their satisfaction and this means that we are heading in the right direction as well as encouraging us in bettering ourselves. In fact Carpi Fashion System has already scheduled an important meeting at the end of this month between the Italian and the foreign companies involved in the project, together with training courses. Furthermore, the new location in which Moda Makers will take place in May will allow this event to grow further with a positive outcome for both the district and the city.”
Moda Makers is promoted by the organiser, Expo Modena and Carpi Fashion System, along with the plan of promoting the firms of the fashion district fostered by the business association of the area, CNA, LAPAM-Confartigianato, CONFINDUSTRIA EMILIA and the district of Carpi, with the fundamental contribution of Fondazione CR Carpi and the support from Promec.
