Last day of the second edition of Moda Makers, the fair which exhibited, in the course of three days, more than 6000 women’s fashion proposals of clothing, knitwear, shirts and outwear, available to be “touched by hand” by about 4 0 0 b u y e r s coming from over 40 foreign Countries led by Japan, followed by Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Belgium, United States, South Korea, Greece, Russia, France, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Lithuania, Great Britain , Canada, Hong Kong, Estonia, Israel and Ukraine who completely filled the hotels in Carpi, to make mandatory the stay out of town. Located in a symbolic place of the city, in order to allow visitors to know and admire the historical monuments, the 44 companies have showed their Autumn/Winter 2017/2018 collections. Paola Davoli, Donatella De Paoli, Eleonora Amadei, Maglierie Ellegi, Ann Max: they are just some of the prestigious brands hosted in the pavilion. «Thanks to Carpi Fashion System coordination- says the council member Simone Morelli- we gave life to this project together with the actuators, Expomodena Consortium, CNA, Confartigianato Lapam, Confindustria, the City of Carpi, the Foundation Cassa di Risparmio di Carpi, Promec and the Chamber of Commerce of Modena . There isn’t in fact, a single subject but a system one. And there are many aspects to which we are aiming for such as training, innovation and internationalisation. It is from these roots that Moda Makers comes to life, a great gamble addressed to the sector operators. Compared to the first edition we are further grown and many companies had to stay in a “waiting list”. The ambition is to make the event a recurring biannual meeting. It doesn’t want to be an option in competition with Modaprima of Florence, but an event in which Carpi can be put at the centre of the national attention waiting for the moment when fashion will be lodged in the Torrione degli Spagnoli».
